IT Workshop

October 17, 2019

Free – $35.00

Jonathan Smith, Director of Technology at Faith Ministries in Indianapolis, will be with us to share his up-to-date insights on the world of Information Technology. His topics will include:

  • What’s Hot and What’s Not
Technology is changing at an ever-increasing speed. Some of it is good, some of it is very good, but some of it is not very good to horrible!
  • Cyber Security for churches is as much a leadership decision as a tech/IT decision. Because they store a lot of data and aren’t as obsessed with security as the corporate world, churches are ripe targets for hackers. Getting hit by a cyber-threat isn’t a matter of if, but when. Learn what church leaders and technology professionals need to know to be good stewards of their data.
  • Lunch will be provided and accompanied by an open Q&A.
  • If time allows, BYOD—the good, the bad, the ugly. Everyone is talking about using their own, preferred personal gear—and it seems to be catching on. Is BYOD too good to be true or should it be embraced quickly with open arms?
